Mission Statement
The purpose of
our business is to assist homeschooling parents with the
educational assessment of their students for their own
personal use and/or in meeting homeschool guidelines across
the United States. We believe that yearly monitoring and
evaluation of a child’s academic growth are essential in
homeschool planning. We focus on operating with the utmost
professionalism, guaranteeing the privacy of students,
parents, tests scores, and any child information, or mailing
lists. |
PATRICIA BREWER, M.Ed.
The Director of Brewer
Testing Services is Pat Brewer, who holds a Masters Degree in Education
in Curriculum and Instruction. Pat served for 14 years as a classroom
teacher and then another 8 years as a Curriculum/Testing Coordinator in
the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools in North Carolina. She retired
early to homeschool their youngest son, who is now in his teens. Pat
is a strong advocate of homeschooling and has served on the governing
board of Forsyth Home Educators. She and her husband are active members
and volunteers for Forsyth Home Educators where they coordinate the
database, and assist with the monthly newsletter. They are also active
volunteers in their church, especially enjoying working with the
children.
She has much experience
in assessing, testing, and adapting curriculum to meet the needs of
individual students, especially in grades K-5. Because of their son and
her love of homeschooling, she has expanded that knowledge as she has
studied what is available for homeschooling with the middle and high
school years. What she doesn't know, she will do her best by directing you to
people or resources that may be of help. She has had a passion for helping homeschool families with
their testing, when coupled with her love for teaching and children,
that has resulted in the establishment of Brewer Testing Services for
Home Schoolers.
She is married to Dempsey
Brewer, a registered Professional Engineer with a Master's Degree in
engineering, and a volunteer firefighter. He is the President of
Brewer Technologies, Inc. and offers professional engineering services,
specialty VB6® & Visual Basic.Net®
programming and Web Design. He loves flying, as he is an
instrument rated airplane pilot and an experimental helicopter
builder. Dempsey has a passion for keeping folks safe and for using
technology to overcome obstacles in people's lives. Check out our website at
